EcoLogic, as part of Moderna Holding, is a company that combines an innovative approach to sustainable development with practical solutions in the field of climate change adaptation. Our mission is based on the belief that the future of construction and urban planning must be sustainable. We are passionate about using the latest technologies and expert knowledge to create spaces that are friendly to both the environment and people.
We offer the design and implementation of UCS, which combines elements of greenery and water, providing ecosystem services such as greenhouse gas absorption and stormwater runoff management. UCS is crucial for climate change adaptation and mitigation. It is also relatively inexpensive and highly aesthetic.
We design water retention systems, including nature-based solutions (NbS) such as surface urban retention systems (SPRM), which direct rainwater to depressions in the terrain, such as rain gardens or retention basins. These systems help combat drought, flooding, and inundation, and also feed greenery through capillary action.
We develop Municipal Adaptation Plans that identify problem areas and reduce their vulnerability to extreme weather events. MAPs take into account climate and sectoral trend analyses, as well as consultations with local communities.
We conduct climate risk analyses that enable companies and investors to make strategic decisions, identify adaptation measures, and meet sustainability criteria.
We support cities and investors in spatial analyses and the implementation of sustainable development standards (LEED, BREEAM, WELL, ISO 37120). We assist in the development of urban climate change adaptation plans in line with EU policy.
Joanna Rayss is the president of EcoLogic, a company that sets new standards in the field of sustainable development. As an expert in blue-green infrastructure, Joanna Rayss combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience, striving to create cities that are resilient to climate change.
Joanna Rayss is primarily a designer. From 2009 to 2020, she ran her own design studio, Zieleniarium. Since 2019, she has been a partner in Rayss Group sp. z o. o. She specializes in the design of public spaces, residential greenery, and solutions in the field of “Nature-based solutions” and “Ecosystem-based design.” President of the Landscape Architecture Association in 2022-2023. Member of the Pomeranian Provincial Urban Planning and Architecture Commission and the SARP Coastal Branch.
